Appointed by Lieutenant Governor on 1/21/1929 pursuant to SR 37 by Wirtz. Sen. Small issued minority report. Report presented to Senate 3/14/1929 where motion to postpone adoption of report until the 1st C.S. prevailed (S.J. of Tex., 41st R.S. 1412 (1929)). SR 18 by Wirtz in the 1st C.S. called for report to be received and a copy of the report and evidence from the hearing be transmitted to the Attorney General for his use, information, and observance. SR 18 was authored by all three members of the Committee. Resolution was adopted (S.J. of Tex., 41st Leg., 1st C.S. 231 (1929)). SR 11, 41st Leg., 2nd by Love called for the Governor to send to the Senate to be printed in the journal a copy of his statement given to the press on 3/16/1929.
