Charges: This report should address the charges below.
1. Review statues in the Parks and Wildlife Code and recommend changes to those that require burdensome regulations.
2. Evaluate the deferred maintenance requirements within the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Examine the possibility of allowing political subdivisions or partnerships to operate parks that are not adequately maintained or scheduled for closure.
3. Study the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's involvement in environmental impact studies and endangered species studies.
