Charges: This report should address the charges below.
1. Evaluate the impact of the feral hog population in Texas in relation to economic harm to landowners and to the potential threat of spreading highly contagious animal diseases, such as foot-and-mouth disease.
2. Assess the state's brush control efforts to ensure that available programs and funding are utilized to fulfill their maximum potential and also examine the impact of invasive aquatic plants (hydrilla, water hyacinth, etc.) and animals (zebra mussels, etc).
3. Monitor the agencies under the committee's jurisdiction.
