HB 74 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Board of Directors of Texas Southern University to request the Secretaries of the Army, Navy and Air Force and/or the Secretary of Defense of the United States to establish and maintain courses of training at said institution, and authorizing the Board of Directors to enter into contracts for such purposes.
HB 90 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts so as to include a student health clinic in the enumeration of buildings, structures, equipment, and facilities, that the Board of Directors of Texas Southern University may be authorized and empowered to acquire, equip, and finance.

HJR 8 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article VIII of the Constitution of Texas by adding thereto a new section providing that all taxes levied after January 1, 1955, on motor fuels and lubricants used to propel motor vehicles over public roadways shall be devoted to roadway use only.
HJR 18 Caption: Proposing an Amendment to Article III of the Constitution of the State of Texas, by adopting a new Section to be known as Section 51-b, giving the Legislature the power to provide, under such limitations and restrictions as may be deemed by the Legislature expedient, for assistance to needy individuals, eighteen (18) years of age or older, who are permanently and totally disabled by reason of a mental or physical handicap, who are residents of the State of Texas, except that the individuals who are receiving aid for the permanently and totally disabled may not, during the same period of time, receive Old Age Assistance, Aid to the Needy Blind, or Aid to Dependent Children; providing that the Legislature shall have the authority to accept from the Government of the United States financial aid for the permanently and totally disabled individuals; providing that the amount paid to any individual may not exceed Twenty ($20) Dollars a month out of State funds; providing anticipatory legislation; providing for the necessary proclamation, publication and election; and providing an appropriation therefor.

HB 200 Caption: Relating to providing that the motor fuel taxes paid by each public transportation company and taxicab company in each city, operating under franchise or permit therefrom, shall be paid over by the State Comptroller each year to each such city, allowing a deduction; providing penalties on each such company for failure to report, providing that the funds so received shall be used for the Constitutional purposes and no other, making an appropriation for a period of two years in furtherance hereof.
HB 203 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes by providing that when a suit is brought to set aside a compromise settlement agreement, the issues with respect to the amount of compensation due under the Workmen's Compensation Law for incapacity or death, may be tried or determined in the same proceeding as the suit to set aside such compromise settlement agreement without the filing of a claim before the Industrial Accident Board.
HB 214 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts by providing that no motor fuel used by a municipal corporation for any municipal purpose within its corporate limits shall be subject to the motor fuel tax; providing for refund of any tax actually paid.
