HB 232 Caption: Relating to providing for the certification of teachers, the professional service and administrative personnel of the public free schools of Texas who hold a bachelor degree or better from a college or university approved for teacher education by the State Board of Education upon recommendation of the State Commissioner of Education; authorizing and providing for the issuance of designated teacher certificates to applicants qualified under the plan and conditions prescribed in this Act.
HB 650 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts pertaining to the Teacher Retirement System of Texas; prescribing the conditions upon which this Act shall become effective as a law; declaring the Act to be severable.
HB 665 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts to provide for the computation annually of the Economic Index for counties by using three (3) year average of factor data; providing that the first economic index so computed as prescribed herein shall be effective for the school year 1953-54; prescribing the effective date of subsequent annual recomputations.

HJR 24 Caption: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Texas by repealing Section 48a, Article III of the Constitution of the State of Texas, and substituting therefor a new section 48a, authorizing needed changes in and revision of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, providing for the necessary election, form of ballot, proclamation, and publication, and making an appropriation to defray the necessary expenses of proclamation, publication, and holding the election.

HB 548 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing that a school district may use property outside certain limits of the district within or without the State for the education of exceptional children.
HB 769 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes, providing that Tax Collectors of all counties in Texas and of cities, political subdivisions or tax assessing districts within such counties, shall issue, upon request, a certificate showing the condition of taxes, interest, penalty and costs on the property therein stated.
HB 770 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by providing for the terms of court for Bowie and Cass Counties; providing that during each term of said Court in Bowie County, the Court may sit in Texarkana, Texas, for the trying, hearing and determining of non-jury civil cases and matters.
