SB 37 Caption: Relating to assenting to the provisions of Congress entitled "An Act to provide that the United States shall aid the States in fish restoration and management projects," approved August 9, 1950.
SB 38 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts prescribing certain facts relating to petitioner and child to be included in petitions for the adoption of a minor child.
SB 62 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful, except under the provisions of this Act, for any person to take menhaden fish from the tidal salt waters of this State for the purpose of barter, sale or exchange; providing a penalty.
SB 104 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code so as to provide that any bona fide common carrier of persons engaged in interstate commerce, upon payment of an annual license fee, may be authorized to store and transport in company stores liquor in containers of less than one-half (1/2) pint for sale by such carrier outside of the State of Texas.
SB 142 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Commissioners' Courts of certain counties having a population of not less than thirty thousand (30,000) nor more than three hundred and seventy-five thousand (375,000) inhabitants according to the last preceding Federal Census to establish county law libraries; authorizing the collection of a fee in civil suits except suits for delinquent taxes for such purpose; prescribing certain duties of the clerks of the respective courts in certain counties; providing for the creation of a fund to be known as "County Law Library Fund".
SB 196 Caption: Relating to amending charters of private corporations so as to authorize amendments changing the original purpose of a corporation by a vote of eighty (80%) per cent of the outstanding voting stock at a meeting called for that purpose.
SB 197 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts by providing for the compensation of the Assessor and Collector of Taxes in assessing and collecting state and county and other taxes and for issuing ad valorem tax certificates.
SB 200 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts authorizing commissioners courts to levy a tax for hospital purposes when an election is held for said purpose in certain counties.
SB 215 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts providing that a license as operator of a motor vehicle shall not be issued to any person who is under sixteen (16) years of age.
SB 232 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code by making it unlawful to make or draw any check, draft or order upon any bank or upon any person, firm or corporation engaged in the banking business, with intent to defraud, if the person making or drawing such check, draft or order does not at the time of said check, craft or order is so made or drawn, and for a period of 15 days thereafter unless said check is sooner present to drawee for payment, have on deposit with such bank, person, firm or corporation, in the name of such maker or drawer, sufficient funds to pay such check.
SB 252 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code by providing that if it be alleged and shown on the trial of a felony case that the defendant has been before convicted of any felony, the punishment on such second conviction shall be double the punishment prescribed for such offense in ordinary cases.
SB 253 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code by providing that if it be alleged and shown on the trial of any felony case that the defendant has been twice or more than twice before convicted of any character of felony, the punishment on such third of subsequent conviction shall be either (1) four times the punishment prescribed for such offense in ordinary cases or (2) imprisonment in the penitentiary for life, or, (3) in cases where the law provides such punishment, death.
SB 254 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code by providing that where increased punishment is provided for by reason of any previous conviction of an offense, such previous conviction may be used for such purpose regardless of whether the same may have theretofore been used to enhance the punishment in any other case or cases.
SB 255 Caption: Relating to repealing Article 64 of the Penal Code relating to Second Conviction for Capital Offense.
SB 256 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code to provide that the rules as to increase or diminution of punishment have no application to the punishment of death, imprisonment in the penitentiary for life, or deprivation of civil or political rights.
SB 334 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes relative to any political party desiring to elect delegates to a National Convention so as to provide for setting the hour and place of County and Precinct Conventions and notice of the same; providing for a penalty.
