HB 140	Caption: Relating to providing revenue for the Public School Fund by levying a tax of one-half of one percent on insurance purchased by State employees, under the terms of this Act, and authorizing the Comptroller of Public Accounts of the State of Texas, and other State officials to recognize assignments of salary due or to become due each month to any and every employee of the State of Texas, to any life insurance company licensed to transact business in the State of Texas, for the purpose of paying premiums on policies of insurance on the life of the assignor or members of the assignor's immediate family.
