HJR 28 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Section 9 of Article 8 of the Constitution of the State of Texas, so as to provide for the levy of taxes by counties, cities and towns, not to exceed thirty cents for roads and bridges, and a tax not to exceed fifty cents on the one hundred ($100) dollars' valuation in any one years, for the erection of public buildings, streets, sewers, waterworks, improvement of cemeteries and other permanent improvements.
HJR 37 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article 8, Section 14 of the Constitution of the State of Texas, relating to the office of county assessor of taxes; providing for the abolishment of said office and vesting the duties thereof in the county collector of taxes, and that the Governor shall submit the same to the qualified voters of the State at an election to be held on the first Tuesday in November, 1919, and appropriating Fifteen Thousand ($15,000) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this resolution.
