30th Regular Session
SB 8 Caption: Relating to prohibiting railway companies, street railway companies, interurban railway companies or any other chartered common carrier or transportation companies or express or sleeping car companies, or telegraph or telephone companies or the receiver or lessees thereof, or their officers, agents or servants in this State from carrying persons free of charge or carrying property free of charge or transmitting messages free of charge or giving to or for any person or passenger a free pass or authority to travel or pass free or to have property of messages transported free over any line or lines owned, operated or controlled by any such company in this State, and naming certain persons who are excepted from the prohibition; providing for prosecutions, fixing venue of suits, and appropriating any penalties that may be collected hereunder.
SB 10 Caption: Relating to private corporations prohibiting insolvent corporations, domestic and foreign, from doing business in this State; providing for quo warranto or other appropriate judicial proceedings to have the charter of permit of such insolvent corporations forfeited or canceled, as the case may be, and also providing for the cancellation of all stocks and bonds issued by any corporation for purposes other than for money paid to, labor done for, or property received by said corporation.
SB 15 Caption: Relating to private corporations, prescribing the terms and conditions on which they may be chartered, and providing the amount of capital stock to be paid in, and when the remainder shall be paid.
SB 16 Caption: Relating to making it an offense punishable by fine and removal from office for any executive, legislative, ministerial or judicial officer of this State, district, county, city or other municipal subdivision of the State, to appoint or vote for the appointment of any person related to him by affinity or consanguinity within the third degree, to any clerkship, office, position, employment or duty in any department of the government of which such executive, legislative, ministerial or judicial officer may be a member; prohibiting the payment of any such ineligible person out of any public funds and providing for suitable punishment and removal from office for the violation of this Act and fixing venue.
SB 19 Caption: Relating to providing additional procedure by which evidence may be taken in suits brought by the Attorney General or by the district or county attorney acting under his direction, to enforce the laws of this State against trusts, monopolies and conspiracies in restraint of trade, or suits to enforce laws regulating and controlling corporations.
SB 22 Caption: Relating to insurance, providing the amount due in case of partial loss on real estate.
SB 23 Caption: Relating to liability of common carriers to their employees, or in case of death to the husband, wife, children and parents of such employee.
SB 24 Caption: Relating to defining and prohibiting lobbying and prescribing suitable fines and imprisonment for the violation thereof.
SB 26 Caption: Relating to defining and regulating the practice of medicine; to create a Board of Medical Examiners for the examination and licensing of physicians and surgeons and to prescribe their qualifications; to provide for their proper registration, and to provide for the revocation of their licenses, and to fix suitable penalties for the violation of this act.
SB 45 Caption: Relating to private corporations organized for the purpose of owning, maintaining and caring for public or private cemeteries, defining their powers and exempting the same from certain provisions of the statutes of this State.
SB 46 Caption: Relating to prohibiting telegraph and telephone companies chartered by law or any joint stock telegraph or telephone companies or lessees from communicating or transmitting free of charge messages or communications for any persons or corporations, or to give and grant any permit or authority therefor, and providing a suitable penalty for the violation of this Act.
SB 47 Caption: Relating to extending the appellate jurisdiction of courts of civil appeals to civil cases within the limits of their respective districts.
SB 48 Caption: Relating to judgments of the Supreme Court.
SB 53 Caption: Relating to declaring as a nuisance certain places in prohibition territory where intoxicating liquors are kept.
SB 83 Caption: Relating to the powers and duties of city councils and boars of aldermen, providing that cities and towns are authorized to manufacture and use for public purposes gas, electricity or any other fluid or substance for illuminating, heating or power producing purposes, and in connection with the operation of any such plant to sell to the inhabitants of any such city or town for commercial purposes any such gas, electricity or other fluid or substance.
SB 128 Caption: Relating to requiring corporations and their officers to permit the Attorney General or his assistants to examine all the books, records, documents, etc., of such corporation, to take copies of same in certain cases, making failure to comply with this Act a misdemeanor and prescribing punishment therefor, and providing for forfeiture of charter and cancellation of permits of corporations for failure to comply therewith.
SB 189 Caption: Relating to requiring the collector of taxes for each county to make up a list of the delinquent taxes and to collect same, and fixing his compensation therefor.
SJR 4 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Section 20 of Article 16 of the Constitution of the State of Texas, relating to local option laws.
SJR 13 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article of the Constitution of the State of Texas by providing for a Department of Agriculture, with a bureau of labor.
SJR 21 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Section 10, Article 8, of the Constitution of the State of Texas, relating to taxation.
SJR 23 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Section 2 of Article 3 of the Constitution of the State of Texas, relating to the membership and pay of the Legislature.

SB 10 Caption: Relating to judgments of the Supreme Court.
SB 11 Caption: Relating to providing for the appointment of court bailiff by the judges of the district courts in certain counties of this State, prescribing their qualifications, the oath to be taken by them, their compensation, their duties and providing suitable punishment for the violation of the duties imposed upon them.
SB 19 Caption: Relating to regulating the certification of questions of law by the Courts of Civil Appeals to the Supreme Court in cases of conflict of decisions, and in cases of disagreement of the judges of a Court of Civil Appeals.
SB 31 Caption: Relating to simplifying trials for the contest of local option elections and to simplifying criminal trials that arise under local option laws, providing the time and manner in which local option elections may be contested, prescribing the effect to be given the judgment of the courts in which said election is contested, and provided further, that when no contest is filed as provided in the act that the legality of the election and the result as declared shall be conclusively presumed and shall be binding upon all courts.
SB 55 Caption: Relating to creating a tax board to calculate the state rate of taxation.
