HB 2 Caption: Relating to providing for the regulation of the practice of ophthalmic dispensing; authorizing the licensing of qualified ophthalmic dispensers, setting out qualifications of applicants for licenses; providing restrictions upon the practice of ophthalmic dispensing; defining terms, creating a Board of Examiners to determine the qualifications of the applicants; specifying membership, term of office, powers and duties of such Board of Examiners; prescribing examinations; requiring renewal of licenses; providing certain exemptions from the application of this act; providing a waiver clause; providing a penalty.
HB 99 Caption: Relating to creating an additional district court for Lubbock County to be known as the District Court of the 140th Judicial District.

HB 543 Caption: Relating to providing incentives to establish programs of special education for preparation of teachers of exceptional children in state supported colleges and universities in Texas offering advanced graduate work in education; to establish special classes and programs for the education of slow learning children and to extend the programs of special education as currently provided for in the statutes; and to encourage teachers to prepare for and work in this field.
HB 822 Caption: Relating to amending the Insurance Code of Texas so as to authorize the liquidator or receiver of an insolvent insurer not organized under the laws of this State to collect and use the proceeds of bonds filed by such insurer with the Board of Insurance Commissioners under the provisions of the Insurance Code of Texas to pay the claims of creditors, claimants, and policy holders of such insurers, and expenses incidental thereto.

HB 34 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by extending existing exemption provisions with respect to payment of certain fees, dues, and charges in state-supported institutions of collegiate rank to persons serving in the armed forces of the United States during the present national emergency, as therein defined, and to children of members of the armed forces of the United States who were killed in action or died while in such service, subject to certain conditions and limitations therein stated; fixing the effective date of the Act.
HB 479 Caption: Relating to authorizing and directing the execution and delivery by the Board of Directors of Texas Technological College of a right-of-way easement to certain land in Lubbock County, to the State Highway Commission of the State of Texas, for the construction and maintenance of a State Highway across the campus of Texas Technological College.
HB 600 Caption: Relating to repealing certain Statutes in regard to certain funds set aside for Sam Houston State Teacher's College.
HB 682 Caption: Relating to raising revenue; levying a tax upon timber, lime, coal and/or lignite and/or peat and/or coke, asphaltic limestone, asphalt, bentonite, Fuller's earth, gypsum, pumice and/or pumicite, salt, sand, shell, gravel and/or clay, limestone, granite, marble and sandstone; levying a tax on all products imported into this State upon the first sale or use in Texas in intrastate commerce, which are of like kind and character as those products which are herein taxed when produced in Texas; amending so as to increase certain occupation taxes; providing for penalties and interest; fixing the effective date of this Act.
