50th Regular Session
SB 23 Caption: Relating to validating the consolidation of certain common and independent school districts where a majority of the qualified voters of each of the affected districts approved such consolidation at an election held for such purpose; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
SB 419 Caption: Relating to granting one-half of the State ad valorem taxes collected in Jackson, Fayette and Colorado counties for flood control; providing that this Act shall be severable; repealing all laws in conflict.
49th Regular Session
SB 43 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation out of the General Revenue Fund in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred Nineteen Dollars and Sixty-five Cents ($1,219.65) to refund to the cities of Sinton and Aransas Pass the amount of ad valorem taxes collected and wrongfully remitted to the State Treasury by San Patricio county since September 18, 1939.
SB 79 Caption: Relating to encourage the speedy economic rehabilitation of the State; making an appropriation for the first two years.
SB 127 Caption: Relating to authorizing the State Board of Control, at its option, to sell the Texas Railroad running from North Rusk, Texas, to Palestine, Texas, within two years.
SB 128 Caption: Relating to placing all State Parks and all other tracts of land used or to be used by the State for the purposes of public park and/or recreational areas, including all public parks, historical parks, and/or recreational areas now under the control and custody of the State Board of Control, under the control and custody of the State Parks Board, under the authority conferred upon such Board by existing law; providing that all laws which are in conflict, in whole or in part with this Act are hereby repealed.
SB 129 Caption: Relating to amending the statute relating to the ten-year limitation on action to recover lands, tenements, and hereditaments so as to require the person in in peaceable and adverse possession to duly render property for taxation within proper time during the last five years of such adverse possession.
SB 184 Caption: Relating to increasing the maximum gross load limit on commercial motor vehicles and combinations thereof from thirty-eight thousand (38,000) pounds to forty-eight thousand (48,000) pounds and, regulating the gross load of commercial motor vehicles and combinations thereof; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
SB 209 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes to provide for proving a written will produced in court when the witnesses thereto are non-residents of the State of Texas, etc.
SB 297 Caption: Relating to authorizing the State Board of Control to negotiate for the purchase of the Tribune Building, the real estate on which it is located, and all lands pertaining thereto, or used in connection therewith, in the City of Austin, Travis County, Texas; appropriating eight hundred forty-seven thousand dollars or as much thereof as may be necessary for the purchase of said building, real estate and lands; appropriating an additional ten thousand dollars for the biennium beginning September 1, 21945 to cover maintenance and other miscellaneous items.
SB 314 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing for injunctive relief against owners of livestock placing on lands of another.
SCR 19 Caption: Authorizing the awarding of service ribbons to members of certain volunteer service organizations.
SCR 20 Caption: Relating to military instillations at Indianola Anti-aircraft Gunnery Range in Calhoun County.
SJR 12 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Section 10 of Article VII of the Constitution of the State of Texas, providing for the relocation of the Medical Branch of the University of Texas.

SB 34 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes so as to change the time and terms of holding the terms of the District Court in DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Refugio, Calhoun and Victoria Counties, constituting the 24th Judicial District of Texas.
SB 40 Caption: Relating to prescribing venue of actions and suits for collection of delinquent ad valorem taxes on real and personal property.
SB 56 Caption: Relating to providing for the construction and maintenance of partition fences along the boundary lines between adjoining tracts of land when both said tracts are being used as pasture for grazing cattle, horses, or other livestock.
SB 85 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes relative to the ten year limitation on actions to recover lands, tenements and hereditaments so as to require the person in peaceable and adverse possession to duly render property for taxation within proper time during the last five years of such adverse possession.
SB 92 Caption: Relating to repealing certain Acts by providing for the disposal of State owned jacks and stallions.
SB 152 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes so as to provide anyone under twenty-one (21) years of age who has had his disabilities removed, shall be eligible for appointment as a notary public provided such person shall furnish the Secretary of State a certified copy of the judgment removing such disabilities.
SB 153 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes to provide the State tax on property shall never exceed Seventeen and a half (17 1/2) Cents on the One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars valuation; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
SB 157 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code to further define "barratry" so as to provide that an attorney is not prohibited from making application to a county, city, school district or other taxing unit for a contract to collect delinquent taxes.
SB 174 Caption: Relating to amending certain Articles so as to change the time and terms of holding the terms of District Court in Aransas, San Patricio, Bee, Live Oak, and McMullen counties, constituting the 36th Judicial District of Texas.
SB 175 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts relative to the transfer of ad valorem tax collections to aid the City of Port Lavaca.
SB 183 Caption: Relating to providing that the serving as a Judge of a Court of Record, within the State of Texas, for six (6) consecutive years, prior to making application to take the bar examination, shall be equivalent to, and may be substituted for, the prelegal study and training and the study of the law required as a prerequisite for the taking of the examination to practice law.
SB 189 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing for uniform registration of earmarks and brands, the issuing of certificate of registration, renewing registration, disposition of fees for so recording, and providing for publication of notice, and payment for said publication.
SB 199 Caption: Relating to authorizing the State of Texas to invest certain funds in defense bonds or other obligations of the United States of America, and authorizing any political subdivision of the State of Texas which heretofore has issued and sold bonds and is unable to obtain labor and materials to carry out the purpose for which the bonds were issued may invest the proceeds now on hand in defense bonds or other obligations of the United States of America.
SB 246 Caption: Relating to placing all State Parks and all other tracts of land used or to be used by the State for the purpose of public parks and/or recreational areas, including all public parks, historical parks, and/or recreational areas now under the control and custody of the State Board of Control, under the control and custody of the State Parks Board, under the authority conferred upon such Board by existing law; providing that all laws relating to the same shall be executed and administered by the State Parks Board.
SB 270 Caption: Relating to providing for the sale of easements and right-of-ways by guardians, executors and administrators and prescribing the procedure therefor.
SB 319 Caption: Relating to authorizing the allowance of traveling expenses not to exceed Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars per month for each County Commissioner in counties having a population of more than twenty-five thousand two hundred ($25,200) and having a tax valuation of less than twenty million dollars ($20,000,000.00).
SB 345 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code so as to regulate fishing and shrimping in the public waters of Aransas County to the extent and in the manner herein provided and so that said Article and said Acts shall read and provide as hereinafter shown.

SB 16 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act relating to the refund of motor fuel taxes, so as to allow those using gasoline for non-highway purposes to make affidavit when purchasing gasoline, to avoid necessity of paying tax and obtaining refund.

HB 984 Caption: Relating to providing for a closed season for the killing, taking, or possessing of squirrel in the County of Wharton, Texas, during the months of January, February, and March of each year; providing a penalty for the violation of the provisions of this Act.
HB 1063 Caption: Relating to declaring it unlawful to hunt, trap, shoot or kill any wild deer within the limits of Jackson and Wharton Counties, Texas, for a period of five (5) years; providing a penalty for the violation of the provisions of this Act.
HB 1064 Caption: Relating to providing that the Board of Commissioners in any city or town containing less than two thousand (2,000) population, according to the last preceding Federal Census, may fix the salary of the mayor not to exceed Six Hundred ($600.00) Dollars per annum.
