SB 61 Caption: Relating to providing that liens for street improvements created by written contract of the owner or owners of land, or any interest therein shall be superior liens upon such improvements.
SB 111 Caption: Relating to fixing the compensation of sheriffs in certain counties; repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict; providing that this Act shall be cumulative of all other Acts not in conflict herewith.
SB 134 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for the creation of corporations with power (a) to buy livestock, poultry and products of ranch, farm, dairy and creamery, and the by-products thereof, and manufacture, process, and sell such products and by-products.
SB 153 Caption: Relating to appropriating the sum of Twenty-six Thousand One Hundred Six and 66/100 ($26,106.66) Dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary, to pay the principal amount of the judgment rendered against the State of Texas in favor of J. SB 165 Caption: Relating to fixing the open season for taking squirrels in the Counties of San Augustine, Sabine, Jasper, Newton and Tyler, except during the period from November 10th to December 31st; providing a penalty; repealing all conflicting laws.
SB 166 Caption: Relating to providing for an open season for hunting buck deer in the Counties of San Augustine, Sabine, Jasper, Newton and Tyler; providing that said deer may be hunted with dogs; providing a penalty for the violation of said Act; repealing all laws in conflict with this Act.
SB 167 Caption: Relating to prohibiting secondary strikes, secondary picketing, and secondary boycotts; providing a penalty; repealing all laws in conflict herewith; providing a saving clause.
SB 178 Caption: Relating to declaring a state policy with respect to the maintenance of water, gas and electric service by a utility as defined in said Act; containing a severability clause.
SB 269 Caption: Relating to amending the anti-trust laws of the State of Texas by amending Article 1634 of the Penal Code of the State of Texas by adding subdivision 3 to providing that among other acts constituting a conspiracy in restraint of trade are those where any two or more persons, firms, corporations or associations of persons shall agree to boycott, or enter into any agreement or understanding to refuse to transport, deliver, receive, accept, erect, assemble, operate, use or work with any goods, wares, merchandise, articles or products of any other person, firm, corporation or association of persons.
SB 276 Caption: Relating to amending the anti-trust laws of the State of Texas by amending Article 7428 of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas by adding subdivision 3 to providing that among other acts constituting a conspiracy in restraint of trade are those where any two or more persons, firms, corporations, or associations of persons shall agree to boycott or enter into any agreement or understanding to refuse to transport, deliver, receive, accept, erect, assemble, operate, use or work with any goods, wares, merchandise, articles or products of any other person, firm, corporation or association of persons; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
SB 321 Caption: Relating to creating a Bureau of Controlled Surveying and Mapping for the State of Texas; appropriating funds.
SB 347 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, by providing for penalties of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) for each and every day of violation of any lawful order of the Railroad Commission of Texas.
SB 390 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, by providing that funds on deposit in any bank or banking institution shall be presumed to be the separate property of the party in whose name they stand unless said bank or banking institution is notified to the contrary.
SB 397 Caption: Relating to authorizing the State Highway Commission to convey 1.4 acres of land to the American Legion Coleman-Legate Post No. 2931; providing for a royalty reservation to the State of Texas.
SJR 10 Caption: Proposing an amendment providing that in San Augustine County, Texas the office of District Clerk is Abolished and the duties of such office shall devolve upon the County Clerk.

SB 26 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by providing for the enlargement of the powers of corporations organized for the purpose of storing, transporting, buying and selling oil and gas, salt, brine, and other mineral solutions in this State.
SB 27 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing an exemption of any place or places where or from which ice is sold, provided as much as seventy-five (75) per cent of the gross proceeds of the business done each preceding calendar year at or from such place or places is derived from the sale of ice; providing a saving clause; providing that all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SB 83 Caption: Relating to providing for fixing the salaries of County Commissioners in counties having a valuation of less than $4,500,000.
SB 113 Caption: Relating to amending Statute relative to the expenses of District Judges and District Attorneys, so as to provide that no District Judge or District Attorney shall receive more than $800 in any one year for his expenses.
SB 172 Caption: Relating to authorizing official District Court reporters to take depositions of witnesses, administer oaths, affidavits in connection with taking depositions, to do all things necessary in the taking of such depositions.
SB 173 Caption: Relating to providing that where a defendant in the course of a criminal action, gives a bail bond or enters into a recognizance before any court or persons authorized by law to take same, for his personal appearance before a court or magistrate, to answer a charge against him, the said bond or recognizance shall be valid and binding upon the defendant and his sureties thereon, for the defendant's personal appearance before the court or magistrate designated therein, and for any and all subsequent proceedings had relative to the charge, and that each such bail bond or recognizance shall be so conditioned except as further provided in this Act.
SB 178 Caption: Relating to amending statute so as to exempt from inheritance tax the intangible personal property of a non-resident who was at the time of his death a resident of a state or territory of the United States which did not impose a transfer or inheritance tax of any character in respect to intangible personal property of residents of this state, or whose laws contain a reciprocal provision under which non-residents were exempt from such transfer or inheritance tax on such intangible personal property, provided the state or territory of the residence of such non-resident allowed a similar exemption to residents of the state or territory of the residence of such decedent.
SB 179 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of Forty-three thousand dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary to pay each of those eleven certain judgments rendered on July 8, 1944, in the 126th Judicial District Court of Travis County against the State of Texas.

SB 217 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by providing for rights of action against employers under the Workmen's Compensation Law who are authorized self-insurers.
SB 277 Caption: Relating to amending certain Articles relating to public gas utilities by providing that the gas utility tax shall be paid by the pipe line company instead of producers.
SB 298 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Board of Managers of the Texas State Railroad, with the approval of the State Auditor, to employ an auditor, or auditors, to audit the records of said railroad and the Texas and New Orleans Railroad Company insofar as such records are applicable to the contract now existing between said Railroads.
SB 308 Caption: Relating to amending the Teacher Retirement Law so as to change the date for the beginning of payment of retirement benefits.
SCR 29 Caption: Concerning the creation of additional river valley authorities.
SJR 1 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Sections 18 and 24 of Article 5 of the Constitution, so as to abolish the office of constable.
SJR 2 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Sections 9 and 20, of Article 5, of the Constitution, so as to provide for the election of a District Clerk and a County Clerk in counties having a population of fifteen thousand or more.

SB 10 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes relative the registration of motorcycles and passenger cars; providing for the annual license fees for passenger cars of certain value, and the method of determining such value.
SB 23 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes to change the terms of holding the First District Court in San Augustine, Orange, Newton, Jasper and Sabine Counties, constituting the First Judicial District of Texas.
SB 54 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code by prescribing new and additional requirements for peace officers and persons having prisoners in their custody, towards and relating to such prisoners; prescribing a penalty for a violation thereof.

SJR 2 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article 3, Section 24 of the Constitution by providing for a regular session of the Legislature, providing for mileage and per diem of the members of the Legislature; fixing the time for an election therefor; prescribing the form of ballot; providing for proclamation of such election and the advertisement thereof; and making an appropriation therefor.
SJR 5 Caption: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Texas by amending Sections 1, 16, 18, 24 and 28 of Article 5, Section 40 of Article 16, Section 56 of Article 3, and revoking and repealing Section 19 of Article 5, so as to do away with Justices of the Peace and Constables, and conferring upon the County Courts jurisdiction of all cases civil and criminal formerly within the jurisdiction of the Courts of Justices of the Peace.

SB 192 Caption: Relating to declaring the drouths, floods and stream pollution in the Neches River Valley to be a public calamity; remitting for ten (10) years half the state ad valorem taxes collected in certain counties for the general fund to the Sabine-Neches Conservation District.
SB 239 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful for any finance company or its agents to receive any commission from an insurance company for the sale of any insurance policy covering property against which the finance company has taken a lien; providing a penalty.
SB 240 Caption: Relating to repealing certain Article of the Penal Code making it unlawful for livestock to traverse or roam at large on the right-of-way of any designated State highway.
SB 241 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article providing for the eligibility of defined Road Districts to participate in the distribution of monies coming into the County and Road District Highway Fund for the payment of bonds votes by such Road District prior to January 2nd, 1939.
SB 244 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article of the Revised Civil Statutes relating to the registration of motorcycles and passenger cars.
SB 245 Caption: Relating to appropriating $5,000 to rebuild Nat district school building in Nacogdoches County, destroyed by cyclone.
SB 246 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article of the Code of Criminal Procedure providing for the taking of confessions before the County Judge and the County and/or District Attorney in any county where venue lies and eliminating the provision providing for the defendant to make his mark if witnessed by some person other than a peace officer.
SB 301 Caption: Relating to regulating "transportation agents", defining the terms "person", "Commission", "transportation agent", and "license"; requiring such transportation agents to have licenses, to furnish bond; providing penalties for certain violations.
SB 302 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act of the Revised Civil Statutes providing for a bond for the county treasurer, the payment of the premium therefor.
SB 303 Caption: Relating to granting aid to San Jacinto, Trinity, Jasper, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Houston, Tyler, Angelina, and Walker Counties, made necessary due to the fact that the Government purchased land in said Counties in large acreages, reducing the taxable value of such Counties.
SB 335 Caption: Relating to appropriating from the Unemployment Compensation Fund the sum of Two Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Seven and 64/100 ($2,667.64) Dollars, to be paid to the Wiergate Naval Stores, Inc., Wiergate, Texas, as a refund of unemployment compensation taxes erroneously collected by the Texas Unemployment Compensation Commission of and from said Wiergate Naval Stores, Inc., during the years 1936, 1937, 1938, and 1939; provided that the refund shall be made only subject to the audit and approval of the State Auditor.
SB 344 Caption: Relating to authorizing the commissioners' court of any county to establish within the boundaries of such county an airport district, and to levy and collect a special tax for airport purposes on property situated within such district.
SB 359 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article of the Penal Code prohibiting the sale of beer during certain hours.
SB 404 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article of the Revised Civil Statutes correcting a codification error to permit the pleadings in a case to be taken to the jury room by the jurors.
SB 416 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article of the Revised Civil Statutes by providing for the recording of the decision of commissioners in eminent domain proceedings in the minutes of the county court, and repealing all laws and parts of law in conflict herewith.
SB 478 Caption: Relating to fixing the maximum rate of tax to be levied for school purposes in all independent school districts in which the State of Texas or its agencies own ten (10) per cent or more in area of the land within the limits or boundaries of said independent school district authorizing said district to levy a tax for school purposes not to exceed one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) on each one hundred dollar valuation of property.
