36th Regular Session
SB 1 Caption: Relating to appropriating the sum of one hundred twenty-five thousand ($125,000.00) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, out of the general revenue, not otherwise appropriated, to pay the mileage and per diem of members and the salaries of officers and employees of the Thirty-sixth Legislature of the State of Texas, providing how accounts may be approved.
SB 2 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of Thirty Thousand ($30,000.00) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary to pay the contingent expenses of the Thirty-sixth Legislature of the State of Texas, providing how accounts may be approved.
SB 32 Caption: Relating to increasing the salaries of the Judges of the Supreme Court and of the Court of Criminal Appeals, and judges of the Courts of Civil Appeals and District Courts of this State.
SB 33 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute defining the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court by further limiting the jurisdiction of said court.
SB 59 Caption: Relating to making certain emergency appropriations out of the General Revenue for the several institutions and departments of the Government for the fiscal year ending August 31, 1919.
SB 103 Caption: Relating to providing for aid for rural schools by appropriating two million dollars each year, and providing the manner and conditions for giving such aid.
SB 104 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute defining and designating the persons to whom may be granted pensions as Confederate soldiers and sailors or their widows, so as to provide that women, now widows, who were wives of Confederate soldiers and sailors and after the death of said soldiers and sailors, re-married, may be eligible to the grant of a pension.
SB 112 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of one Million ($1,000,000.00) dollars to the available school fund of the State of Texas for the scholastic year beginning September 1st, A.D. 1918 and ending August 31, A.D. 1919, and providing for the method of distribution.
SB 124 Caption: Relating to providing the method of selecting a special venire in counties other than those having the wheel system, for the selection of juries.
SB 203 Caption: Relating to providing that the Industrial Accident Board of this State shall not be made a party defendant to any suit to set aside any final ruling and decision made by such Board.
SB 209 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute defining the purposes for which the public free school funds of Texas may be expended.
SB 210 Caption: Relating to placing concurrent jurisdiction in the district and county court of Travis County by presentation by indictment by a grand jury.
SB 232 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to Permanent Teachers' Certificates so as to add thereto the provision that any person who has taught as long as forty (40) years in the public schools of this State shall upon recommendation of the Board of School Trustees, be entitled to receive a permanent certificate of the grade last held by him.
SB 244 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute so as to prohibit the giving of assistance to a voter in preparing his ballot, except when such voter is unable to prepare the same himself because of some bodily infirmity which renders him physically unable to write, or is sixty years of age, and providing that ballots be prepared in violation of this Article shall be void; providing a penalty for violation; making it mandatory for both parties to use the English language when assistance is given to a voter.
SB 317 Caption: Relating to naming the Pecan as the Texas State tree.
SB 328 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute so as to provide that the Commissioners' Court of a county not having a resident licensed veterinarian may appoint and designate a person resident of said county to administer hog cholera virus without first securing a permit for the use of same from the Livestock Sanitary Commission of Texas.
SB 330 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute by adding thereto a method of securing service of citation or other process or foreign corporations, joint stock companies or associations, or acting corporations or associations.
SB 339 Caption: Relating to changing and fixing the times of holding the Courts in the Twelfth Judicial District of Texas.
SB 342 Caption: Relating to amending certain title of the Code of Criminal Procedure by adding thereto a section relating to and providing that the purchaser of any intoxicant or any intoxicating liquor shall under no circumstances be regarded as an accomplice witness when testifying to a sale thereof prohibited by law.
SB 343 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes defining connecting carriers by making each of them an agent for the others for certain purposes and fixing their contract relations to shippers; providing that bills of lading, waybills, receipts, checks or other instruments issued by either of such carriers or other proof showing receipt of freight, baggage or property transportation, shall be prima facie evidence of the relations, duties and liabilities of such carriers to the owners or shippers of such freight, baggage or other property transported, notwithstanding, contrary stipulations by any of such carriers.
SB 355 Caption: Relating to declaring to be creators and promoters of a public nuisance, being any person who is the proprietor of any place of public amusement, who shall permit his place of business, or place of public amusement to be opened for the purpose of traffic of the public amusement on Sunday; declaring that such may be enjoined at the suit of either the Attorney General, the County or District Attorney in behalf of the State.
SB 361 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to teachers' certificates issued by State Normal Colleges.
SB 385 Caption: Relating to authorizing gas, oil, other mineral or metal leases and sale of gas, other minerals or metals by executors or administrators under order of the County Court entered on the Minutes of the Probate Court either in term time or in vacation.
SCR 31 Caption: Authorizing the Comptroller to deposit a small trust fund in the State Treasury.
SJR 6 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Section 2 of Article VI of the Constitution of the State so that every person, male or female, who shall have attained the age of twenty-one years shall be deemed a qualified elector; providing that all electors shall vote in the election precinct of their residence; fixing the time for the holding of an election and making an appropriation therefor.
SJR 11 Caption: Proposing an amendment increasing the amount of ad-valorem taxes that may be levied by counties, cities and towns; making an appropriation.
SJR 12 Caption: Proposing an amendment increasing the total tax rate that may be levied by cities and towns having a population of five thousand or less; making an appropriation.

SB 1 Caption: Relating to amending certain articles relating to the the qualifications of voters, so as to eliminate from the provisions of all said articles the word "male" and so as to levy and collect from all persons, both male and female, within certain ages, poll taxes, and fixing the qualifications of voters so as to include all persons, both male and female; providing penalties for violations of certain of the provisions of this Act.

SB 45 Caption: Relating to prohibiting Commissioners' Courts from issuing warrants or from otherwise contracting debts against the court house and jail fund or the road and bridge fund of their respective counties, in excess of the estimated receipts in the year for which such warrants or evidences of indebtedness are issued.
SB 46 Caption: Relating to providing a period of limitation within which action must be brought to foreclose liens upon land securing taxes, providing a period within which such liens shall become barred.
SB 47 Caption: Relating to making appropriations for the support and maintenance of the Sam Houston Normal Institute, the North Texas State Normal, the Southwest Texas State Normal School, and the West Texas Normal School, during the summer term of 1917.
SB 65 Caption: Relating to prohibiting the owning or operating of any Pool Hall or Billiard Hall or any Pool Table or Billiard Table for profit within the State.
