SB 144, 61st R.S.
Relating to providing that in all cases, except capital cases where the State is seeking the death penalty, the trial judge shall assess the penalty; providing that the judge may grant probation; providing that the judge may cause to be made for his consideration in assessing the punishment a pre-sentence investigation.
