Defining certain words and terms as used herein; requiring that school districts of this state, as herein defined, employ teachers by probationary-status contract or by professional-status renewable-term contract as herein defined, under the circumstances and procedures and with the terms, provisions, and consequences herein prescribed; prescribing the causes for which and procedures by which holders of such contracts may be discharged during the contract year, and the reasons for which and procedures by which persons holding such contracts may be dismissed or their contractual status changed at the end of a contract year.
