Enlarging and defining the area subject to zoning regulations and extending authority to the coastal counties of Jefferson, Chambers, Galveston, Brazoria, Matagorda, Calhoun, Aransas, Nueces, Kleberg, Kenedy, Willacy, and Cameron to regulate uses of land within two miles of the shorelands and public beaches of the state; repealing an exemption for buildings and equipment used in furnishing telephone service to the public; stating relationship of rules and regulations under this Act to laws or regulations to protect dunes and vegetation or to regulate removal of sand, marl, gravel, and shell from certain areas.
