Proposing an amendment to Article VIII, Section 1-b, Subsection (b), of the Texas Constitution, to provide for the exemption of not less than $8,000 of the appraised value of the residential homesteads of certain persons 65 years of age or over from ad valorem taxes of counties, cities, towns, school districts, and other taxing political subdivisions and permitting the amount of the exemption to be increased by the governing body of the subdivision.
