HB 10, 63rd R.S.
Providing that no person engaged in the work of, connected with, or employed by any newspaper, or other printed publication, press association, wire service, news agency, radio or television network shall be compelled to disclose any information or any source of such information procured or obtained by such person in the course of his news-related activities; that no ordained minister, priest, rabbi or duly accredited Christian Science practitioner shall be compelled to disclose information or any source of such information confidentially communicated to him and his professional capacity that would violate a sacred or moral trust; authorizing petition for mandamus to the supreme court in connection with a newsman's privilege and granting original jurisdiction in the Texas Supreme Court to adjudicate said petition.
