SCR 11, 64th R.S.
Providing for a committee of five to appoint and designate some outstanding and recognized poet who is a citizen of Texas, who shall be Poet Laureate of the State of Texas, who shall be Poet Laureate of the State of Texas for the year beginning May 1, 1975, and ending April 30, 1976, and a poet laureate with like qualifications to be designated for the year beginning May 1, 1976, and ending April 30, 1977; providing for an alternate poet laureate in each of these years; providing that said committee shall consist of two members of the senate to be named by the lieutenant governor, two members of the house to be named by the speaker, and the said committee shall meet with the governor who is hereby designated as the fifth member of the committee; authorizing to designate the fifth member of the committee if the governor does not serve.
