HB 53, 50th R.S.
Relating to amending a previous Act, so as to require the County Clerk to require from persons desiring to marry and making application for a license therefor an affidavit stating under oath that such applicant have never previously married or that the immediate former spouse of such applicant is dead or that the applicant has been divorced from the immediate former spouse, the grounds therefor and the date thereof; prohibiting the County Clerk from issuing a marriage license to persons granted a divorce on the grounds of cruel treatment within twelve (12) months from date of such divorce decree; excepting persons previously married to each other; requiring the County Clerk to maintain a record of such affidavits.
