Authorizing and requesting the Coastal Industrial Water Authority to conduct a comprehensive study of long-term water resource needs for Texas Gulf Coast region, the adequacy and marketability of alternate sources of water consistent with future growth and development, the development of potential alternate water sources, and such other matters as the Coastal Industrial Water Authority deems relevant and proper; requesting all other state and local agencies to cooperate fully with the Coastal Industrial Water Authority in such study, and all federal agencies and all private citizens, coporations, and associations are urged to cooperate with the Coastal Industrial Water Authority in supplying data for the study; providing that the Coastal Industrial Water Authority reports its findings and recommendations to the Governor of Texas, the Lieutenant Governor of Texas, and each member of the legislature on or before the convening of the 65th Legislature in January, 1977.
