Introduced

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

The 75th Legislature enacted legislation that designated the future route
of La Entrada al Pacifico Corridor. The route followed State Highway 349
from Lamesa south to Midland, west on I-20 to Odessa, and then south on US
385 to Fort Stockton. H.B. 2115 also directed the Texas Department of
Transportation to design, construct, and place commemorative markers along
the highway to indicate the corridor's designation.

H.B. 1005 makes technical corrections to statutory language by slightly
modifying the corridor's route and boundaries.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the opinion of the Office of House Bill Analysis that this bill does
not expressly delegate any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, department, agency, or institution.
