Introduced

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Under current law, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (commission) may
suspend or cancel a permittee's license to sell alcoholic beverages if it
finds that the permittee has discriminated against an individual on the
basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. H.B. 1150 adds
discrimination on the basis of gender, religion, and disability to the list
of convictions warranting the suspension or cancellation of a permit to
sell alcoholic beverages.
