BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Each school year, the Texas Education Agency is required to prepare and
distribute to each school district a report card for each campus.
Currently, a campus report card includes academic excellence indicators,
student/teacher ratios, and administrative and instructional costs per
student. H.B. 2433 requires a campus report card to also include whether
any commercial business entity advertises or otherwise solicits customers
on school grounds.
