HBA-SEP, BSM H.B. 1112 77(R) BILL ANALYSIS Office of House Bill AnalysisH.B. 1112 By: Junell Judicial Affairs 2/26/2001 Introduced BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Current law provides that the terms of the 32nd District Court, comprised of the counties of Nolan, Mitchell, and Fisher, begin on different dates which judges and prosecutors may find difficult. House Bill 1112 modifies the terms of the 32nd District Court to begin on the first Monday in January, May, and September. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY It is the opinion of the Office of House Bill Analysis that this bill does not expressly delegate any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution. ANALYSIS House Bill 1112 amends the Government Code by modifying the terms of the 32nd District Court in each county in the district such that the terms begin on the first Monday in January, May, and September. EFFECTIVE DATE January 1, 2002.
