Committee Members


  • Work in conjunction with the Supreme Court of Texas, the Texas Judicial Council, and the Committee on Administratoion of Justice of the State Bar of Texas to study the venue laws of Texas.
  • Initiate a study of the Texas Workers' Compensation laws relating to vocational rehabilitation and also the effect of out-of-state insurance companies offering workers' compensation insurance in Texas without having local offices in Texas to service claims under those policies.
  • Initiate a study to analyze the actual and potential benefit of statutory reenactment of "wiretapping," including issues relating to the incidence and outcome of wiretaps conducted since the enactment of Artcicle 18.20, Code of Criminal Procedure.
  • Study child support enforcement in Texas.
  • Study the uses and accuracy of devices for measuring alcohol concentration among suspected intoxicated drivers, examine devices for collection or analysis of blood, breath, and other specimens, including breath devices suitable for direct field analysis of alcohol concentration and breath devices suitable for field collection of a specimen to be analyzed subsequently, and to examine the issue of the timing of specimen collection and analysis, with respect to the accurate measurement of a driver's alcohol concentration as it existed when he or she was apprehended.
