- Study and make inquiries into matters pertaining to fish and wildlife research, management, development, and protection.

Whereas, There exists a problem in parts of South Texas whereby wildlife is destroying crops and causing a great loss of money to many farmers; and
Whereas a prolonged drought has already caused much loss to these farmers; and
Whereas, It is proper that the House Interim Committee on the Game and Fish study all means which may be helpful in obtaining a solution to this problem; now, therefore, be it
Resolved That the House Interim Committee on Game and Fish be requested to study this problem and that it be further requested that they include their findings in the report which they will make to the next regular session of the Legislature.
- Meet with representatives of the fish and shrimp industry and carefully study and include in the committee's research the viewpoint of such groups to the end that the industry as it affects the economy of this state may be adequately protected in any suggested legislation eminating from this committee.*
