- This committee be directed to include within the scope of its consideration the screening of pre-school children for hearing loss; special education at both pre-school and school-age levels for deaf and hard-of-hearing children; training for teachers of the deaf and hard-of-hearing; public education concerning the problems and needs of the deaf and hard-of-hearing; recreational facilities; and employment opportunities.
