  • To work with local officials in Texas to reexamine state and local responses in providing essential government services.

Notes

The technical advisory committee formed to assist the committee sponsored a Higher Education Conference on New Federalism in Austin in May of 1982. Following the conference, the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs conducted a policy research project on new federalism. The LBJ School's report on this topic, Adjusting to New Federalism: Due Process, Eligibility and Fiscal Capacity, can be found at Z UA320.8 AD 49.

The committee did not issue a report.
