Charges
- Study all aspects of and issues relating to the reduction and minimization of all waste products by local, state, and federal governments; the study shall include but not be limited to an assessment of the scope and consistency of state and federal regulations pertaining to waste minimization and reduction.
- Monitor federal regulations regarding waste reduction and minimization to ensure state compliance with federal law.
- Study the role of composting in waste minimization and reduction.
