Charges
- Examine the specific role of each state agency in the criminal justice system and determine methods of coordination of services.

Identify any areas within the system in which state and local funds can be used more prudently and with greater effectiveness.
- Examine the education programs of our schools to determine ways of deterring crime.
- Identify any instances of duplication of services that can be prevented and offer suggestions for the avoidance of such duplication.
- Identify groups of offenders that need special services not currently being provided and determine means of providing those services.
- Examine alternatives to incarceration, such as restitution, and develop new programs for the implementation of those alternatives.
- Seek methods and determine strategies for crime prevention.
