Senate Committee on Tax Program - 43rd R.S. (1933)
- Study the tax and financial situation in Texas with a view of distributing the tax burden more equitably by bringing all property under taxation of wealth now escaping its just burden; and of devising ways and means of amending our laws on taxation so that the inequalities and unfairness which now exist in our system and its administration will be eliminated as nearly as possible.
Appointed by Lieutenant Governor pursuant to SR 16, 43rd Leg., 4th C.S. by Duggan. Copy of preliminary report housed in Library's collection states it is an Appendix to Journal and pagination does not match report found at S.J. of Tex., 44th Leg., R.S. 461 (1935).
