Note:
W.L. McGaughey, Commissioner of the General Land Office, was impeached by the House of Representatives and that information relayed to the Senate 4/8/1893. Lieutenant Governor Crane announced committee to establish rules and procedures for the Senate 4/15/1893 when Senate sat as high court of impeachment. Background material in Senate journal documents articles of impeachment, amendment of rules for impeachment, resolution detailing process, and documentation that the proceedings were separately published.
