Pursuant to concurrent resolution by Browning of Donley, House members appointed by Speaker 4/11/1892 "to confer with the officers and directors of the Texas World's Fair Exhibition association in the city of Austin, on the 12th day of April, instant, with the view of inviting the South and Central American countries to participate with the people of Texas in holding a great fair in Texas during the fall of this year" (House Journal, 22nd 1st C.S., pp. 239, 247-248, 254-255, 263).
