HB 132 Caption: Relating to amending the subject matter of the Texas Unemployment Compensation Act, providing that an individual shall be disqualified for unemployment compensation benefits where his unemployment is due to a stoppage of work which exists because of a labor dispute where he is or was last employed or because of a labor dispute at another place, either within or without this state, owned or operated by the same employing unit which owns or operates the premises at which he is or was last employed, and supplies materials or services necessary to the continued and usual operation of the premises at which he is or was last employed.
HB 169 Caption: Relating to amending the Texas Penal Code permitting payment of inspection tax on feed stuff on the basis of reports of tonnage, changing method of showing weight and composition of feeding stuffs.

HB 132 Caption: Relating to amending legislation relating to the penalty for sale of horse meat for human consumption to provide that the penalty for violation of such Act shall be a fine of not less than $100.00 nor more than $1,000.00, or confinement in jail for a period of not less than 30 days or more than two years, or both, for the first offense, and that the penalty for any second or succeeding violation of such Act shall be confinement in the penitentiary for not less than two years and not more than five years.
HB 433 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts by providing that teachers having creditable service in other states shall be given credit for fifty percent (50%) of such creditable service in determining the years of creditable service in Texas not to exceed seven (7) years.
HB 490 Caption: Relating to establishing a system of public roads and bridges for all counties in this State having a population of more than one hundred and ninety-eight thousand (198,000) inhabitants, and less than four hundred thousand (400,000) inhabitants, and wherein is situated an incorporated city having a population in excess of two hundred and fifty thousand (250,000) inhabitants, and to empower the Commissioner Courts thereof to provide rules and regulations therefor.

HB 678 Caption: Relating to regulating the taking of minnows from the fresh waters of this State for the purpose of sale; making it unlawful to take minnows from the fresh waters for the purpose of sale or to transport the same for the purpose of sale or to sell the same without a bait dealer's license; providing for the issuance of such licenses by the Game, Fish and Oyster Commission and prescribing fees therefor; prescribing proper handling to conserve minnows; prescribing the methods of taking minnows and prescribing a seine permit fee in certain instances.

HB 409 Caption: Relating to prohibit the possession of firearms by criminals or subversive elements; to regulate the manufacture, sale, or other transfer and possession of firearms; to provide penalties; to prescribe rules of evidence; to co-ordinate the law enforcement activities of the Police agencies within this State with those of the Federal Government.

HB 646 Caption: Relating to requiring the Comptroller of Public Accounts for each three-month period of each fiscal year, commencing with the fiscal year beginning September 1, 1949, to make an estimate of the revenues collectible into the General Fund for such period and to report same to the Automatic Tax Board together with the amount of appropriations to be paid form said Fund during said period, and if such appropriations exceed the estimate of collectible revenues for said period.
HB 737 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, concerning the use of gas for manufacture of Carbon Black; repeal of conflicting laws, but providing the intention of the Act to be cumulative of existing laws covering the purposes for which gas may be used and that the use authorized is in addition to these now provided in existing statues.
HB 816 Caption: Relating to providing for the payment by every co-operative or fraternal association or corporation, domestic or foreign, doing business of any kind of nature whatsoever in Texas, of the same license fees and taxes paid by any other association or corporation engaged in doing the same or similar business under the laws of this State; providing for the repeal of all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act.

HB 247 Caption: Relating to amending and re-enacting sections of the Motor Fuel Tax Law; providing the Comptroller may authorize the sale or distribution of motor fuel and certain other products, without collecting the tax, to bonded and licensed distributors when said products are purchased for the purpose of exportation or for further refining, processing, treating, or blending, and requiring the persons selling said products to keep records, make reports, and issue manifests of such sales and requiring the purchasing distributor to pay the tax on any subsequent taxable sale or use of said products.
HB 249 Caption: Relating to authorizing any County Commissioner's Court in any county having over 200,000 population to pay out of any available funds money necessary to Civilian Defense in such counties for the duration of the present war.
HB 305 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts levying certain occupation taxes on the business or occupation of producing natural and casinghead gas within the State, providing exemptions from said tax, defining terms, establishing the liability therefor and providing for the collection, enforcement, payment, and administration thereof.
