SB 40 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts to authorize cities and towns, including home rule cities, which heretofore have issued or hereafter may issue original bonds or refunding bonds payable from revenues of electric light and power systems, gas systems, water systems, sewer systems, or any combination of such systems, to issue additional bonds payable from such revenues for purposes of improving and extending such systems.
SB 41 Caption: Relating to amending certain articles relating to contingency reserves of mutual, level premium, legal reserve life insurance companies; giving to the Board of Insurance Commissioners authority to issue appropriate orders under this Act.
SB 51 Caption: Relating to providing that no pension or retirement benefit plan or system for employees of any Texas municipality, whether provided for by General of special law, city charter, or city ordinance, shall apply to employees of any Board of Trustees created or appointed in pursuance of Article 1115, Revised Statutes, or any similar law.
SB 66 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes to provide that the first three Articles of Chapter 1, Title 22, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, shall not apply to refunding bonds issued, or to be issued, for the refunding of any valid outstanding bonds of a county, city, or town, nor to any bond issue for a sum less than Two Thousand ($2,000.00) Dollars, when issued for the purpose of repairing buildings or structures for the building of which bonds are allowed to be issued.
SB 67 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts relating to firemen's and policemen's civil service in cities over 10,000; providing that when the Commission shall have adopted rules or regulations by majority vote shall have caused same to be reduced to writing, typewriting or printed and deposited in the office of Director of Civil Service, such rules and regulations shall be deemed to be sufficiently published and promulgated.
SB 78 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts providing for additional compensation of Judges of District Courts and Criminal District Courts in counties having a population of not less than one hundred fifty-nine thousand (159,000) nor more than six hundred thousand (600,000) inhabitants.
SB 129 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes relating to pensions for policemen, firemen and fire alarm operators in certain cities.
SB 130 Caption: Relating to amending the Code of Criminal Procedure so as to provide for disqualification of sureties in misdemeanor cases where they have been in default theretofore.
SB 148 Caption: Relating to creating an additional criminal district court for the County of Bexar; and to provide for the jurisdiction and organization of said court and the procedure to be used in said court; to provide the transferring and docketing of cases; and to provide for the appointment and election, qualification, jurisdiction, duties, powers and compensation of the judge of said court.
SB 237 Caption: Relating to providing that the Commissioners Court of any County in the State may enter into contracts for the accomplishment of plans and programs for flood control and soil conservation with certain agencies, and such agencies, districts and municipal corporations may be divided between the parties or delegated to either the County or to one or more of said agencies, districts, and municipal corporations for a specified period or until certain plans for programs are accomplished.
SB 353 Caption: Relating to providing for the clearance of slum and blighted areas for development or redevelopment in accordance with plans approved by the governing body of cities or towns.
SB 358 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes providing for the number of Deputy Constables which may be appointed in certain Justice Precincts of the State of Texas, and in certain counties thereof, where said Justice Precincts shall obtain cities of certain populations.
SB 396 Caption: Relating to amending certain laws relative to Dentistry; providing for the revocation, cancellation or suspension of licenses issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
SB 433 Caption: Relating to amending the Bexar County Road and Bridge Law by authorizing the Commissioners Court of Bexar County within their discretion to fix the salary of the County Engineer.
SB 434 Caption: Relating to making an emergency appropriation to the Texas State Board of Examiners in the Basic Sciences out of its own Fund, designated as the Basic Sciences Examination Fund 220, for operating expenses from April 28, 1951 to August 31, 1951, both dates inclusive.
SB 438 Caption: Relating to authorizing certain cities to issue revenue bonds for the purpose of purchasing or constructing sewage disposal facilities.
