HB 472 Caption: Relating to amending certain articles providing for the application to operate a motor vehicle as a chauffeur; prescribing the amount and time of payment of an annual fee; requiring the application to be sworn to and accompanied by the affidavits of two reputable citizens; authorizing the issuance of a badge; requiring the keeping of a record and the furnishing of the names of the licensed chauffeur to the county clerk and chiefs of police of the cities of the State.
HB 475 Caption: Relating to permitting Kate Chambers Sturgis and Stella J. McGregor, the only surviving lawful heirs of General T.J. Chambers, to bring suit against the State of Texas for the value of 5004 acres of land owned by General Chambers, and condemned by the Republic of Texas for the purpose of establishing a seat of government and upon which the City of Austin now stands.
HB 490 Caption: Relating to requiring interurban railway companies to erect and maintain buildings for the reception and discharge of freight and passengers; providing that the company shall be liable to the party injured for improper exposure.
HB 491 Caption: Relating to requiring every interurban railway company to keep its passenger houses lighted and warmed and open to passengers; prescribing a penalty, and making such company liable to the party injured for damages incurred by reason of its failure to comply with this Act.
HB 567 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts granting J.J. Kane, of the City of Galveston, Texas, his heirs and assigns, certain submerged flats or lands on the shore of Galveston Bay for the purpose of constructing a dry-dock or marine railway thereon, so as to provide for and extension of the time in which the sum of not less than $150,000.00 should be expended in the construction thereof.
