  • B T Jr Johnson, enlistment date 4/3/1942, Dallas, Texas, birth year 1905, civilian occupation: lawyers and judges. FamilySearch United States World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946.
  • United States Army, Technical Sergeant, World War II. "Tech. Sgt. B.T. Johnson received his discharge from the Army in October. He entered service as a private and served in the Southwest Pacific, earning the Asiatic-Pacific ribbon with two battle stars, the Bronze Star, and the Phillippine Liberation ribbon. A member of the 45th and 46th Legislatures, he had practiced [law] ten years before entering the Army in April 1942." "Just Discharged," Volume 9, Issue 1, January 1946, pp. 19, 22.
