Phillips: "The December 17, 1915, issue of the Lampasas Leader, contained notice of D.W. Phillip's, death at age 65, in Galveston. The Leader noted that Daniel W. Phillips operated a confectionery and fruit stand here. He served as a state representative from the Lampasas, Burnet, Mason and San Saba District (handwritten date of 1901)."
