  • "With the high ideals of patriotism and courage that was characteristic of him, Lieutenant Ragsdale was one of the first to volunteer in the defense of his country, receiving his training first at Camp Wolters at Mineral Wells, Texas, and completing it at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he was commissioned Second Lieutenant in 1943 . . .
