Born in Lexington, Kentucky; settled in Crawford county, Illinois, after the Civil War and married Elizabeth Higgins while living there; came to Texas in 1876 and settled in Collin County; doctor, studied medicine at the Eclectic College in Cincinnati, "now engaged in agriculture."
