Creating the Occupational Safety Board; defining terms; declaring policies and coverage of the Act; providing for the appointment of a General Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety; providing for membership on the board and their remuneration, and for employees and representatives of the board; prescribing duties and powers of the board and of its representatives and of those affected by the Act; providing responsibilities, criteria, procedures, privileges, penalties, and appeals incident to enforcement of the Act; making other provisions relating to occupational safety; providing severability clause; providing the extent of the application of the Act.
