Relating to authorizing the deposit of a Texas motor vehicle operator's, commercial operator's, or chauffeur's license with an arresting officer in lieu of other security or promises to appear at a subsequent trial; authorizing the officer to acknowledge receipt of a deposited license on the traffic citation, to serve as a substitute license pending trial of the offense; amending the Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways, as amended (Article 6701d, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), by adding Section 148A; and declaring an emergency.
