HB 729, 44th R.S.
Relating to declaring it to be a misdemeanor for any person, with intent to defraud, to make, draw, utter, or deliver any check, draft, or order for the payment of money, knowing at the time of such making, drawing, uttering, or delivering such check draft, or order that the maker or drawer has not sufficient funds in or credit with the drawee for the payment of such check, draft, or order, in full, upon its presentation; prescribing penalties of imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one (1) year, or a fine of not more than one thousand ($1,000) dollars, or of both fine and imprisonment.
