SB 229, 54th R.S.
Relating to amending certain Acts to provide that in all counties having a population of less than 225,000 the County Judge as budget officer shall prepare the county budget on or immediately after January 1 of each year; providing that the budget hearing shall take place within seven calendar days after the filing of the budget and prior to January 31 of the current year; providing that upon final approval of the budget, a true and correct copy thereof shall be filed with the State Comptroller of Public Accounts; providing for a repealing clause; providing that this Act shall become operative January 1, 1956.
