HB 1112 59-0 (1965) Author: Richards, George H. Relating to amending certain Acts enlarging Houston County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 to be coterminous with Houston County, Texas, to empower the Board of Directors of such District to authorize and issue bonds of said District payable from revenues only without submitting the question of the issuance of same to a vote provided that the bonds are payable at least in part from revenue derived from a contract or contracts with cities and the question of the making of the contract or contracts has been favorably voted by the qualified taxpaying electors in each of the cities contracting with the District.
HB 689 57-0 (1961) Author: Richards, George H. Relating to providing that Houston County Water Control and Improvement District No.1 shall contain all of the territory contained in Houston County.
SB 307 57-0 (1961) Author: Colson, Esther Neveille Relating to providing that Houston County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 shall contain all of the territory contained in Houston County; empowering to purchase and construct ponds, facilities and equipment necessary for removing wastes and eliminating or reducing pollution of water before it reaches the Trinity River; authorizing said District to make contracts under which it will sell water and to make contracts under which it will transport, treat and dispose of municipal and industrial sewage, waste and effluent.
