Submitting as additional topics for consideration by the 35th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, enacting a law for the protection of wild turkeys, squirrels and fur bearing animals in the counties of Angelina, Cherokee, Hardin, Liberty, Nacogdoches and Tyler (HB 31); creating the Ben Wheeler Independent School District in Van Zandt County (HB 27); providing for the levy and collection of an ad valorem tax by a city or town sufficient to meet interest payments and to create a sinking fund on all indebtedness incurred prior to the adoption of the constitutional amendment in 1883 (HB 46); making an appropriation for the additional support of the Game, Fish and Oyster Department for the fiscal years ending August 31, 1918, and August 31, 1919; and amending Section 1 of Chapter 123, page 320 of the General Laws of the State of Texas, as passed by the Thirty-fifth Legislature at its Regular Session (desecration of the United States flag), so as to provide that said Act shall not apply to any Act permitted by the statutes of the United States of America, or by the United States Army and Navy regulations, nor to be construed to apply to a newspaper, periodical, book, pamphlet, [etc.], on any of which shall be printed, painted, or placed said flag or flags, disconnected from any advertisement (HB 29)
