SB 21, 55th R.S.
Relating to amending certain Statutes providing that any male between the ages of 10 and 14, and any female between the ages of 10 and 15, who commits any criminal offense of the grade of a felony in this State shall be prosecuted in the same manner and to the same degree as any other person who violates the criminal statues of the State of Texas; provided, however, that if any male under the age of 14, or any female under the age of 15, commits an offense of the grade of a felony, then the same shall be tried before a jury, as in other criminal cases and such jury shall determine if such male or female has sufficient understanding of the nature and quality of the act committed.
