Relating to revising and arranging certain statutes of this State relating to taxation into a new title of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas to be known as "Title 122A, Taxation-- General"; reducing the rate of all taxes included in said Title, with certain exceptions, raising certain taxes in said Title, and adding certain new taxes; preserving the substantive law as it existed immediately prior to the passage of this Act except where a contrary intention is clearly expressed; amending certain portions of the Texas Liquor Control Act so as to make appropriate references to the new title created; repealing certain statutes and acts relating to taxation; providing a saving clause.
