HB 435, 36th R.S.
Relating to providing that there shall be appointed by the Governor, by and with the consent and advice of the Senate, a convenient number of notaries pubic for each organized county and not to exceed six notaries public for each organized county in this State, who shall hold their office for the term of tow years from the first day of June after appointment at a regular session of the Legislature; provided that the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, may appoint additional notaries public at any regular or special session of the Legislature who shall hold their office until the first day of June succeeding the regular session of the Legislature after their appointment.
